Saturday Art School is Back for Fall 2021!

Saturday Art School is an opportunity for children in the community (grades K*-8) to experience an open art studio atmosphere where they can create artwork and bring their ideas to life with Millersville University art education students assisting in their discovery and learning.

Dates and Times

Students who enroll in Saturday Art School will take part in three two-hour class sessions: September 25, October 9, and October 30. There is an AM session from 9:30 – 11:30 and a PM session from 12:30-2:30. An exhibit of students’ artwork will be on view in the Swift Gallery following Saturday Art School with an opening planned for 10 AM – 12 PM on Saturday, November 20th.

Tuition

Tuition is $30 per child. All supplies are included in the tuition. If you require financial assistance, please contact Leslie Gates at leslie.gates@millersville.edu.

Refunds

Refunds will be granted through the date of the first class (September 25th). No refunds will be processed after that date. Students are not required to attend each class, but the fee includes both classes in the session and no partial refunds will be given.

Location and Drop Off

Check-in will take place in the lobby of Millersville University’s Breidenstine Hall, 46 E. Frederick Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Parking on campus is free on the weekends. Street parking is available in front of the building or in the parking lot behind the building near the stadium. A parent or guardian must accompany the child(ren) inside the building. Check-in will open approximately 15 minutes prior to class start times.

Covid-19 Mitigation Efforts

Per Millersville’s current COVID-19 policies, everyone is required to wear masks while indoors on Millersville’s campus. There are no exceptions to the mask mandate: this includes Saturday Art School students, teachers, and parents.

*Students need to have qualified for kindergarten (in most local districts, age 5 by Sept. 1) for the 2021-22 school year in order to enroll as a kindergarten student in Saturday Art School.
